(Oh gosh, I forgot to upload this on Friday before I left for the weekend... OTL)
But yeah. I'm an archer. I've owned a bow for about ten years now (it's an old longbow my grandpa found in an attic of an old farmhouse; I don't know anything else about it); I started shooting with a piece of embroidery floss tied to the ends of my bow and two dowels that Istole from my dad's garage with seagull feathers taped to the end. I got in so much trouble when my parents found out what I was hiding behind all those posters... (about 250 holes in the drywall...).
But now that archers have begun to play a large role in Hollywood, I've been called a bandwagon jumper (because I've begun to shoot in public instead of in my bedroom. XD) and, because I often wear my hair in a braid (best way to disguise greasy hair after a weekend of camping...), I get called Katniss. A lot. And you know what? It bothers me.

it actually really bothers me that Katniss made archery cool (much like the Cullens did with Vampires)
I don't remember when my love for archery started but it was way before The Hunger Games ever came out, but I've only ever legitimately shot a bow once, I attended a friend's archery class with her, I wish I could go again >u< I would love to learn how to shoot more effectively.
